Water

The Netherlands has specific expertise in the field of water management and can thus contribute to reducing water-related problems, such as lack of clean drinking water, loss of biodiversity due to water pollution, desertification and flooding.

The IHE , Institute for Water Education, is located in the Netherlands (Delft). This institute, which became part of UNESCO in 2003, is the only UN institute that can award PhDs (Doctor of Philosophy) and Masters of Science in water management.
